It Will Be Done: Barenaked Ladies Announce ‘Last Summer On Earth 2018’ Tour with Better Than Ezra

No strangers to the road, Barenaked Ladies will continue their travels into 2018 with another installment of the “Last Summer On Earth” Tour along with Better Than Ezra and KT Turnstall. The tour begins June 1st in Prior Lake, Minnesota before skipping around the US with stops including Red Rocks, Big Sky Brewing Company,  and Coney Island before coming wrapping up July 15th in Cleveland.

The setlists figure to be a mix of BNL classics along with cuts from their new album, Fake Nudes, due out November 17th. Even after the 2009 departure of co-frontman Steven Page, original members Ed Robertson, Jim Creeggan, Tyler Stewart along with longtime keyboardist Kevin Hearn continue to hit upon all corners of the nearly 30 year repertoire. “Brian Wilson”, “It’s All Been Done”, “Old Apartment” are instant crowd pleasers that do well in a live setting. Ticketing info has yet to be announced, but we’re sure no matter what the prices are the “If I had $1,000,000” jokes will be rampant.

Better than Ezra will open the shows, who’s guitarist/vocalist Kevin Griffith co-wrote 5 total songs on the last two Barenaked Ladies albums. Co-founder and bassist Tom Drummand also joins Griffith on a tour that figures to have some collaborations along the way. Fact: Did you know it is impossible to not smile when hearing the song “Good” live?
